What is the piercing process?
Our nurses are sure to clean and mark the ears with a medical grade pen. After confirming that the placement is even and center, we use an instrument which is called System 75 to insert the jewelry. This instrument is not a gun, that shoots the earring into the ear. Rather a hand pressured piercing tool that precisely pierces the ear in the best location.
This innovative design provides a gentle, yet quick ear piercing. This updated method allows for direct control and precision with each and every piercing. Unlike the outdated gun which has a slight risk of trauma, causing fresh piercing to swell.
Can I provide my own earrings?
No. We pierce with 24K gold earrings which promotes quick and safe healing. They are also sterile, and made especially for our ear piercing instrument. In order to reduce the risk of infection and allergy, we only use our medical grade nickel-free gold plated earrings. This is to insure the safety of your child!
What is the healing process?
Earrings must stay in the ears for at least 8 weeks. We suggest cleaning the piercing twice a day for the first 4-6 weeks. We provide aftercare solution and suggest that you stay away from alcohol and peroxide. At the end of the healing time, twice-daily cleaning is no longer required, although periodic cleaning is still suggested. When your piercing is healed, jewelry can safely be changed, but it shouldn’t be left out for more than 12-24 hours. Even once the hole becomes permanent it can still shrink and make jewelry reinsertion more difficult. If you like your piercing, keep jewelry in it. However, if you would like to change into a different pair; be sure to keep something in the holes conservatively for the first year of the piercing.
Can The Piercing Earrings Be Used For Everyday Wear?
Yes! Many parents choose to use our earrings for everyday wear because they are 24K gold plated over surgical steel. They feel safe with our earrings because there is no risk of allergies. We also sell earrings separately for those who want to try different styles. Simply order online through our website.
What is the youngest age you pierce?
We pierce all ages. Our youngest was only 3 days old! We suggest parents to make this decision based on their own preference.
